Highlights: At West Lawn, a late run by the Bulldogs (11-4) came up just short in a loss to the Cougars (11-2).

Wilson trailed by 10 in the third quarter before a late rally saw it pull within two points several times, the last at 38-36 after Jesse Ebner sank a pair of free throws with eight seconds left.

"This was our best effort of the year," said Wilson coach Doug Myer. "It was a winnable game, but that is a good team; a very good team."

East is ranked No. 4 in the state in Class AAAA by the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

Ebner led the Bulldogs with 12 points; Holly Hamilton scored 10.

Ro Gentry and Meghan Kerrigan each had 12 for the Cougars.

East knocked down five 3-pointers in building a 25-15 halftime lead.
