Highlights: At Wyomissing, the Spartans (9-4, 12-9) fought off a late rally by the Lynx (11-2, 15-5) to earn the second Berks Conference playoff spot in Division III.

Wyomissing finished in a tie with Schuylkill Valley for second but earned the playoff spot by virtue of a tiebreaker (better division record).

Ed Early scored a team-high 23 points for Wyomissing, which led by as many as 10 points in the third quarter.

Josh Wheaton scored a career-high 31 points, including nine in the fourth, to help the Lynx pull within a point in the final quarter.

The Spartans will meet Berks I champ Reading High in league quarterfinals Monday at Gov. Mifflin.
