Highlights: At Hamburg, Kassidy Lesher and Sydney Lesher combined for 19 points in the fourth quarter to help Hamburg defeat visiting Trinity 45-30 for the school's first District 3 playoff win.

The 3-AAA preliminary game between 15th-seeded Hamburg and No. 18 Trinity was close throughout and tied 20-20 after three quarters.

But Kassidy Lesher scored 11 of her game-high 20 points and Sydney Lesher scored all eight of her points in the fourth quarter to help the Hawks (15-8) pull away from the Shamrocks (10-11).

The victory sends Hamburg to the first round to visit No. 2 seed Palmyra (19-3) Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Hamburg made just 10 field goals, one fewer than Trinity. But the Hawks converted 24-of-36 free throws led by Kassidy Lesher, who made 12-of-16.

Hannah Schoenly also scored eight points for Hamburg.
