Highlights: At Leesport, Cartier Talford scored the Scouts' first seven points and finished with a game-high 31 in a Berks Conference Division II victory over the Panthers (0-3, 3-8).

The victory pushes the Scouts (3-0, 6-4) into sole possession of first place in Berks II, half a game ahead of Twin Valley.

Talford, the league's leading scorer, had 18 points by halftime, leading the Scouts to a 38-26 lead.

He had seven points during a 14-0 run early in the second half that pushed Weiser's lead to 21 points.

Talford also finished with 11 rebounds, 10 off the offensive glass.

Pierce Brosious had eight points and nine rebounds for Weiser.

Evan Hargrave came off the bench to score a team-high 21 points for the Panthers, before fouling out. He had 19 in the first half.
