Highlights:
Berks Catholic couldn't overcome a big second-quarter run by Milton Hershey, falling to the top-seeded Spartans 71-51 in a District 3-AAA quarterfinal at Giant Center.
The ninth-seeded Saints (17-9) led after the first quarter and were up four points early in the second before the Spartans (24-1) ran off a game-changing 19-1 run to take command.
The Saints never got within single digits again.
Berks Catholic heads to a state qualifier Monday against fifth-seeded Elco, a 64-63 loser to Eastern York. The game is tentatively set for Warwick at 6. The loser of that game is eliminated.
Tyrone Nesby scored 15 points and Isaac Lutz 14 for the Saints, who have reached the state tournament in each of their first four seasons.
Keonte Lucas had 20 points and Juwon Owolabi 15 for the Spartans, who have won 11 straight.
Milton Hershey is ranked No. 10 in the state in Class AAA.
