Highlights: Trailing by four in the third quarter, eighth-seeded Wilson pulled ahead midway through the fourth and held on for a 55-47, District 3 6A third-place win over second-seeded Elizabethtown Thursday at Hempfield.

Down 29-25 in the third, the Bulldogs (17-9) went on a 29-16 run to build a 54-45 advantage in the final quarter. Elizabethtown (19-8) cut the deficit to four down the stretch, but the Bulldogs made four late free throws to seal it. Zakiyah Winfield went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line and scored 10 of her game-high 24 points in the fourth.

Kaya Burkhart also scored in double figures with 15 points for Wilson, which went 14-for-14 on free throws, all in the second half.

Marena Lonardi had 16 points and Amber Orban scored 13 for the Bears.

Wilson takes the court again next Friday in the opening round of the PIAA 6A tournament vs. the winner of today's Abington-Plymouth Whitemarsh game.
