Highlights:
Harrisburg turned back a late rally to beat Gov. Mifflin 65-55 and end the Mustangs' season in a District 3 Class 6A playback semifinal Tuesday at Shillington.
The 10th-seeded Mustangs (16-11) pulled within 52-51 with 5:13 left when Greg Suber scored on a putback before the 11th-seeded Cougars (15-9) pulled away, using a 13-4 closing rush.
The Cougars clinched a spot in the PIAA Tournament and denied the Mustangs the first state-tournament berth in program history.
Davon Lee scored a game-high 30 points for the Cougars. He made six 3-pointers.
Bryce Harman led the Mustangs with 14 points. Suber had 12 and Cam'Ron Stewart 11.
Harrisburg will play fifth-seeded Central Dauphin in fifth/sixth-place seeding game Thursday at Central Dauphin.
The winner will play the District 7 champ; the loser will play the District 1 champ.
Mifflin ended the third quarter with a 9-2 run to pull within 51-45.
It opened the fourth quarter with a 6-1 run to make it 52-51.
The Mustangs led 19-17 in the second period on Justin Silzer's 3-pointer. Harrisburg led 38-27 at the half.
