Highlights: Boyertown advanced to the Pioneer Athletic Conference girls basketball championship game with a 43-27 win over Pope John Paul II at Spring-Ford High School.

Abby Kapp had 21 points, seven steals, and six assists for the Bears (18-5) and Sarafina Valenti scored seven. Gabby Troisi scored 14 for PJP (13-10). Boyertown scored the first seven points of the game, led by 12 at the half, and scored the final 11 points of the third quarter for a 37-17 advantage.

The Bears will play Perkiomen Valley in the final Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Spring-Ford.
