Highlights: Berks Catholic overcame a sluggish first half to earn another trip to the Berks Girls League championship game.

The second-seeded Saints, powered by Devon Merritt's 19 points and 17 rebounds, overcame a four-point halftime deficit and defeated No. 6 Wilson 41-28 in the semifinals at Santander Arena Thursday night.

Berks Catholic used a 16-1 run to snap a 21-21 tie in the third quarter. The Saints' size and strength inside wore down Wilson, which used tenacious defense to hold a 17-13 halftime lead.

Zakiyah Winfield scored 14 points for Wilson.

Berks Catholic will play top-seeded Gov. Mifflin for the championship tonight at 6.
