Highlights

Fresh off a first-round win over tenth-seeded Tulpehocken Monday, No. 7 Brandywine Heights managed only three singles Thursday during a dominant pitching performance by Michael Hope of Camp Hill, which earned a 4-0 win in a District 3-AA quarterfinal playoff at College Park Field in Camp Hill. Hope hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Kyle Remig did the same in the sixth to provide the offense for the No. 2 Lions (16-4), who otherwise managed just two singles. The Bullets (13-9) threatened in the fourth inning when, after a walk and a single, Brody Lesher attempted to score after an error by Camp Hill's left fielder, but was thrown out at the plate. Bryson Turner allowed four hits, struck out two and walked one while allowing three earned runs and also had one of Brandywine's three hits. Hope struck out six in the complete-game three-hitter for Camp Hill, which advances to face No. 3 Oley Valley Tuesday in the semifinal round.
