No.4 seed North Penn topped fifth-seeded Boyertown 14-6 in the District 1-AAAA quarterfinals.
The Bears fell behind early and were unable to overcome the powerful North Penn lineup that plated 14 runners and had 16 hits.
Dalton Hughes led the Bears offense going 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored.
Jared Melone finished 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs for the Knights. Melone finished a triple shy of the cycle.
