1st Half 2nd Half OT 1 Final

Highlights:At Reiffton, Rachel Zerbe scored with eight minutes left in the second overtime and Conrad Weiser knocked off Gov. Mifflin 1-0 in the BCIAA soccer quarterfinals.

The Berks II runner-up Mustangs (13-4), winners of the last three Berks titles, hadn't lost a county playoff game since 2009. The Scouts (13-5) will play Berks I champion Wilson in the semifinals.

"(The goal) was on a ball that was played into the box," Conrad Weiser coach Doug Miller said. "One of our girls and one of their girls went to head the ball. It went straight up into the air. Rachel Zerbe went up and headed the ball to the far post into the goal."

For Weiser, it was an impressive turnaround from a 4-1 loss in early September at Mifflin. Emily Gingrich scored all the Mifflin goals in that game.

This time, Miller said, he asked sophomore Kennedy Lutz to mark Gingrich.

"She said, 'OK, that's fine.' She did a heck of a job," Miller said. "Emily is Emily, and she's going to lose some players now and again.

"I give Kennedy a lot of kudos because she did what she was told to do and did it well."
