Highlights:At Boyertown, Kaitlyn Eisenhard had 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Bears (18-7) clinched a PIAA playoff berth with a win over the Jaguars (17-7) in a District 1-AAAA second round game.
Kaitlyn DeHaven had eight points for the Bears, which will participate in the state playoffs for the first time since 2011. Boyertown reached the PIAA semifinals that season.
The Bears led 18-5 after the first quarter and controlled the pace of the game with strong defense from Marie Valenti and Maria Garafolo.
Boyertown faces Mt. Saint Joseph in the quarterfinals at Flourtown Saturday.
