Highlights:At New Holland, Yosef Yacob and Nate Jones each made one-and-ones in the final minute as the District 12-AAA fourth-place Patriots (20-6) held off the District 3-AAA champion Saints (26-4) in a PIAA Tournament opener Friday at Garden Spot High School.
The Saints had pulled within four points on Isaac Lutz's 3-pointer with 1:08 but could get no closer; they trailed by as many 11 points in the second half.
Nana Foulland scored a game-high 15 points for Berks Catholic.
Jones had a team-high 12 for the Pats, who advance to face Pope John Paul II in the second round of tournament play Tuesday.
