Highlights:Reading Eagle
Boyertown scored five runs in the first two innings Tuesday night and went on to defeat top-seeded Owen J. Roberts 6-1 in the PAC-10 softball semifinals at Spring-Ford High School.
The fourth-seeded Bears (13-6), who won their last four games just to get in the playoffs, will advance to the championship game Thursday at 4:30 p.m. to face second-seeded Spring-Ford.
Boyertown suffered a pair of lopsided losses to Owen J. Roberts this season, losing to the Wildcats 7-1 on April 23 and 9-2 on May 3.
But the Bears, who won the PAC-10 title in 2011, took control early and led all the way to defeat the Wildcats.
