At Altoona, District 7 runner up Derry (15-4) swept the Panthers (17-5) in the PIAA Class AA quarterfinals. For Schuylkill Valley, Mitch Strobel had 10 kills and seven digs; Frank Melvin had eight kills and two digs; Matt Cieniewicz had six kills and a block; and Andrew Lash had 25 assists, four kills and three digs. For Derry, Matt Vasinko had 12 kills and seven digs; Nico Latta had nine kills; Ethan Huston had eight kills; and Jake Zemba had 37 assists, five digs, two aces.
