Highlights:Cartier Talford scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half and Conrad Weiser held off Twin Valley 60-55 in boys basketball at Robesonia Tuesday night.
Talford, the Berks Conference's leading scorer at 26 points per game, made just 1-of-14 shots in the first half.
The 6-1 guard hit a 3-pointer on the first possession of the third quarter and caught fire. He made three more shots from behind the arc in the quarter to help Weiser break a halftime tie and build a 46-39 lead.
Twin Valley rallied, pulling within 54-53 with 3:18 remaining, before Weiser closed it out.
Weiser (9-4, 5-0) maintained sole possession of first place in Berks II. Twin Valley (3-2, 8-6) is two games back.
