Highlights:Lonnie Walker IV scored 17 first-quarter points and matched his career high with 29 as Reading High raced past visiting Bethlehem Liberty in the final game of the Berks/Lehigh Valley Shootout tonight at the Geigle.
The win was the 11th straight for the Red Knights (17-4), who have not lost in 2015.
Walker, a sophomore, was spectacular from the outset, scoring three baskets in the first 90 seconds of the game to give the Red Knights a 7-0 lead.
Walker ended the quarter with a pair of 3-pointers, helping Reading to a 29-13 lead. He made 7-of-9 shots in the opening quarter.
He had 21 points by halftime as Reading led 48-21.
Khary Mauras finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Red Knights. Damon Stern had 10 points and four assists.
Trenton Bishop scored a team-high 18 points for the Hurricanes (13-6), 11 of them coming in the fourth quarter.
