Highlights:At West Lawn, Corielle Yarde's memorable Schuylkill Valley career came to a disappointing end as the Blue Jays (16-10) controlled the pace and upset the cold-shooting Panthers (22-5) in a District 3-AA quarterfinal.

Sam Scaffidi's 14 points paced sixth-seeded Holy Name, which successfully slowed Schuylkill Valley's trademark transition game. Lauren Noga grabbed 17 rebounds for the Jays, and Rachel Skolny had 10 rebounds, nine points and three assists.

Yarde did what she could, scoring 21 of Schuylkill Valley's 29 points and grabbing 18 of its 49 rebounds. But the third-seeded Panthers shot a miserable 0-for-20 from 3-point range and 12-for-64 (18.8 percent) overall, including 1-for-15 in the decisive fourth quarter.

Yarde finished her career with 2,283 points, second-most in Berks girls history behind Daniel Boone's Wendy Davis (1988, 2,504 points). She'll play at Division I Marist (N.Y.) next year.
