Highlights:
In a dramatic District 3-AAA opener at Robesonia, Matt Rohrbacher and Sesley Stewart blocked a 28-yard field-goal attempt by Lampeter-Strasburg's Chris Garaffa as time expired, and the Scouts (9-2) narrowly survived a tremendous Pioneers comeback.
Fourth-seeded Conrad Weiser hosts No. 5 Hershey in a quarterfinal game next Friday night.
The Scouts were up 27-7 at halftime, but Lampeter-Strasburg scored 21 unanswered third-quarter points to go up 28-27 entering the fourth.
Weiser regained the lead when Mike Oliveto's 18-yard field goal ended an epic, 17-play drive with 1:24 left.
But the Pioneers (7-4) got a 45-yard Chad Frey kickoff return and started at the Scouts 39-yard line. Six plays later they lined up for the would-be winning field-goal attempt.
For more details see Jerry Reimenschneider's story in Saturday's Reading Eagle.
