Highlights: Top-seeded Wilson used the hard running of Shane Dantzler to overcame a sluggish start and beat No. 16 Carlisle in the opening round of the District 3-AAAA Tournament tonight at Gurski Stadium.

Dantzler ran 39 times for a career-high 222 yards and a touchdown.

The Bulldogs (11-0) advance to play No. 8 Manheim Township (8-3) next Friday in a quarterfinal at Gurski Stadium.

Wilson didn’t score until the final minute of the first half when Connor Howell scored on a 7-yard run.

Howell’s 40-yard kickoff return to open the second half set up Dantzler’s 50-yard TD run one play later to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead.

The Bulldogs broke it open on Jake Templin’s 23-yard, fourth-down touchdown throw to Jon Fox midway through the third quarter.
