District 1-AAAA first-round game
At Boyertown, the 11th-seeded Bears (14-5) got two hits and seven three-hit innings from Shelby Beaver and handled the No. 22 Buccaneers (9-3) with ease in a 1-AAAA opener.
Boyertown heads to No. 6 Neshaminy for a second-round game Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Beaver struck out eight and walked none, and got the offensive support she needed from BethAnne Kircher (2-for-3, RBI, run) and Krista Schauder (triple, two RBIs).
