At Hamburg, Andrew Gernert went 3-for-3 with a triple and a double and scored three runs as the Cougars (11-1 Berks IV, 15-2) defeated the Hawks (7-5 Berks III, 9-9) in five innings for their 10th straight win. Gernert also pitched a three-hitter, striking out five and walking none. Joe Peters went 3-for-3, including his league-leading seventh home run, and had three RBIs and three runs scored for Kutztown, Alex Faust went 2-for-2 with two doubles and Austin Marsteller went 2-for-3 with a double. Alex Cooper homered in the fourth for Hamburg's only run.
