At Kutztown, Ryan Noon had 11 digs and six kills to help the Cougars (2-8) defeat the Crimson Tide (0-12). Phil Moyer had nine digs, seven kills and three blocks; Chris Rarick had six digs, four kills and three blocks; and Mike Heiner had six digs, six kills and four aces for Kutztown. Shawn Johnson led Pottsville with nine kills and one ace. Dan Beruck had two aces and 15 assists, and Matt Trout had five kills.
