Highlights
At Forino Sports Complex, winning pitcher Brock Kummanocker struck out a batter with the tying run on third as the Cougars (3-0, 5-1) held on to beat the Blue Jays (1-2, 1-4).
The Blue Jays scored three times in the final inning to pull within 6-5, getting a two-run single from Nick Riegel and a sacrifice fly from Matt Budock.
The Cougars took command with a three-run sixth, getting a two-run single from Caleb Wessner.
Joey Peters and Brett Hauck each had two hits for the Cougars; Freddie Caruso and Dan Christian each had two hits for the Blue Jays.
