At George Field, Carlos Paulino threw a two-hitter as the Red Knights (6-3, 11-6) beat the Bulldogs (1-9, 2-11) to clinch a Berks playoff berth, their first since 2003.
Paulino gave up an earned run and walked a batter. He struck out five.
Also for Reading High, Erick Escobar went 1-for-1 with two runs and a two-run triple in the sixth; Frankelvin Reyes was 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs, including a solo homer in the fourth; Sean Heck went 2-for-3 and drove in a run; and Tyler Salvati was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs.
