Highlights
At George Field, an Exeter error allowed Antonio Romelis to score from second and the Red Knights (8-3, 13-6) survived a thriller against the Eagles (4-7, 7-10) Thursday afternoon and forced a one-game Berks I championship playoff with Gov. Mifflin Thursday night.
Jordan Gottshall's two-run home run in the top of the seventh staked Exeter to a 5-4 lead, but Reading High tied it in the bottom half when Frankelvin Reyes doubled home Erick Escobar with one out.
Reyes finished 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI and Shawn Heck went 2-for-3 for the Knights.
For the Eagles, Dylan Mazzo had two hits and two RBIs.
