At Boyertown, Mark Romano's two-run double in the eighth lifted the Warriors (2-0, 2-0) over the Bears (1-1, 1-1) in a Pioneer Athletic League game. The Bears led 3-1 before surrendering four runs in the top of the seventh, only to score twice in the bottom half to send the game to extra innings. In the eighth, the Bears scored once before leaving a pair of runners stranded. For the Bears, Aaron Wilkins went 4-for-5 with three runs scored; Boyertown had just four other hits. He also started and allowed just three hits and a run over four innings. for the Warriors, Todd Rubendall went 4-for-5 and Romano had three RBIs.
