At Laureldale, Brock Krumanocker threw a four-hit shutout as the Berks IV runner-up Cougars (16-5) upended the Berks II champion Blazers (12-7) in a Berks League quarterfinal. Kutztown will face defending champ Gov. Mifflin Monday night in a 7 p.m. semifinal at FirstEnergy Stadium. Krumanocker walked one, hit two batters and struck out two. Offensively, Kutztown put up three-run innings in the fourth and sixth. Joey Peters went 3-for-3 and scored two runs. Kyle Isamoyer hit a two-run triple in the fourth, scored two runs and drove in another run when he reached no an error in the sixth. Taylor Hauck went 1-for-2 with two sacrifices, and Alex Faust was 1-for-3, with two RBIs.
