At Muhlenberg, Ryne Brewer went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Zach Stewart was 2-for-3 with three RBIs as the No. 22 Cougars (11-9) blasted the No. 11 Lynx (15-7) in a District 3-AA preliminary round game.
Kyle Weary went the distance for Palmyra, limiting the Berks League runners-up to three earned runs on three hits and three walks. He struck out six and hit three batters. The Cougars backed him up with three double plays.
Oley scored all three of its runs in the fourth, when it cut its deficit to 5-3, but Palmyra pulled away with seven runs in the last three innings.
