Highlights
At Ephrata, Brad Smith threw a five-hitter to lead the No. 10 Raiders past the No. 23 Blue Raiders in a District 3-AAA preliminary round game.
Twin Valley, which is making its fourth district appearance in five years, moves on to Monday's quarterfinals, where it will meet No. 26 Eastern York, a 5-3 winner over No. 7 Susquenita. The game is scheduled 7 p.m. at Creekview.
The Raiders built a 5-0 lead through four innings on Middletown starter John Martz. The Blue Raiders answered with a pair of runs in the fifth, but Smith and Twin Valley shut them out the rest of the way.
