Final
Trinity 3
Muhlenberg 2

Highlights

At George Field, lefty Mike Hnatuck baffled the No. 4 Muhls (15-7) as the No. 13 Shamrocks (13-6) earned a spot in the District 3-AAA quarterfinals with a first-round win. Hnatuck provided a clutch two-out, two-run single in the fifth that gave Trinity a 3-0 lead. On the mound, he limited Muhlenberg to a pair of unearned runs on three hits and three walks over seven innings while striking out seven. The Muhls scored both of their runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, and had the tying and go-ahead runs in scoring position. Hnatuck got cleanup hitter Chad Wisniewski to ground to the mound for the third out, however. For more on this game, read Don Stewart's recap in Tuesday's Reading Eagle.
