Highlights
At Brightbill Park, Ashley Yeakley led off the game with a triple on the first pitch, scored and Schuylkill Valley never trailed, the Panthers winning their first District 3 game in more than 25 years.
Yeakley, who went 3-for-4, pitched a complete game, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out five.
Catie Deiley and Cassie Juzefyk each had RBI singles in a two-run third for the Panthers, who advance to play Brandywine Heights Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Lyons in the Class AA quarterfinals.
