Highlights

At Laureldale, the Scouts (9-2, 14-3), who already clinched the Berks II title, scored four runs in the first en route to the five inning win, which eliminated the Muhls from the Berks II playoff race. Aaron Price had a two-run double and Mark Minisce a two-run homer in the inning, which was enough for Weiser starter Michael Meinhold, who pitched a two-hitter, striking out eight while walking one. Nathan Peiffer was 2-for-3, Minisce 2-for-4 with the homer and three RBIs, Tanner Lutz was 2-for-2 and Adam Carman 2-for-2. Muhlenberg (5-6, 11-6) can still possibly finish in a three-way tie with Twin Valley and Daniel Boone with a win over Fleetwood Monday, but the Muhls fall short in all tie-breaking criteria.
