Schuylkill Valley at Tulpehocken

At New Schaefferstown, Blaise Fernandez hit a one-out, bases-loaded single in the eighth inning to lift the Trojans (3-2, 5-3) over the Panthers (0-6, 0-12). Shawn McGinley's RBI double and Jese Downs' run-scoring single helped Schuylkill Valley tie it 5-5 in the top of the sixth. The Trojans answered with a run in the bottom of the inning, when Zach Carles doubled home Tim Hassler. Chris Lorah singled home McGinley to help Schuylkill Valley tie it again in the seventh. Tulpehocken retired Schuylkill Valley's first three batters in the top of the eighth, setting up Fernandez's winning shot. For the Panthers, Downs finished 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs, McGinley 2-for-3 with two runs, Lorah 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Ryan Zawaski 2-for-4 with a run. Fernandez and Alex Lewis each had two hits, a run and an RBI for the Trojans.
