Highlights
At Bear Stadium, the Bears (4-0, 4-0) used three runs in the seventh inning to edge the Wildcats. Owen J. Roberts scored twice in the top of the seventh to grab a 4-2 lead. Kyle Weller and Matt Purnell led off the bottom of the inning with a pair of singles. Austin Heimbach followed with an RBI single. He reached second on Luke Stong's sacrifice bunt and scored the tying run on a Dan O'Connell single. Pinch runner Jeff Sundstrom beat a throw home to score the winning run after Dalton Weeks' sacrifice fly was caught in foul territory.
Weller finished 2-for-3 with two runs. Stong pitched 2/3 inning of relief to get the win. Starter Steve Price struck out four in 4 2/3 innings.
