At Mechanicsburg, the second-seeded Polar Bears (18-4) scored both of their runs on one hit in the fifth inning and beat the Hawks (13-8) in a District 3 Class AAA first-round game. Courtney Keefer singled and stole second before Erin Rentzel walked. Keefer scored on two passed balls and Rentzel scored on winning pitcher Shannon Ward's fielder's choice. Sydney Oberholtzer singled in the fourth and Brianna Richards singled in the sixth for Hamburg.
