At Laureldale, Conrad Weiser scored three runs in the first inning and broke open the game with a five-run fifth as the Scouts (7-4, 10-7) won the Berks II, second-place tiebreaker. Weiser, which made the Berks tournament field for the first time since 1985, will play Daniel Boone in a quarterfinal round game tonight at 5 p.m. at Lyons. Winning pitcher Val Miller (7-4) allowed three hits and struck out five. At the plate, she went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Brianna Sassaman went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, Emma Price was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Brianna Pichler was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Scouts. Alyssa Bolger was 2-for-3 with a doubles and RBI for the Raiders (6-5, 8-13).
