Highlights
Pop Lacey allowed five hits and struck out four in six shutout innings Thursday to lead the second-seeded Saints (16-7) past No. 3 seed Delone Catholic (16-7) in a District 3-AA semifinal at Hershey.
Berks Catholic took a 1-0 lead when Will Budock drove in Josh Mendenhall with a two-out, RBI single in the first inning.
The Saints struck again when Franklin Ramirez led off the second with a double, then scored on Ryan Schuetrumpf's RBI single.
Matt Dekker, who relieved Lacey with one runner aboard in the seventh, induced a double-play ball and struck out the last batter to earn the save.
Berks Catholic advances to face Susquenita Thursday in the District Championship game, site and time to be determined.
