Daniel Boone at West York

At West York, 14th-seeded Daniel Boone (12-10) scored 13 runs in the ninth inning to defeat No. 3-seed West York (16-5) in the opening round of the District 3 Class AAA baseball tournament. In the big inning, the Blazers scored their 13 runs on an RBI double by Brendan Rivoli, an error, an RBI single by Christian Fernandez, a walk by Ty Esenwein, a passed ball, a hit by pitch, a two-run single by Rivoli, an RBI single by Bryce Stout, a two-run single by Bryan O'Toole, an RBI single by Fernandez and an error. Stout went 4-for-5 with four RBIs. He also made a game-saving play at first in the seventh with the bases loaded and two outs when he made a sliding stop of Logan Stover's ball hit in the hole to prevent the winning run from scoring. Boone got out of the inning when Brett Kinnaman flied out to the deepest part of center field.
