Highlights

At Mertztown, Brody Lesher drew a bases-loaded walk on a 3-1 pitch with one out in the seventh inning to drive Austin Kunkel home with the game-winning run as the Bullets (13-8) defeated the Trojans (9-12) in a District 3 Class-AA playoff. Offense was plentiful early on as each team scored 10 runs through five innings. Kunkel led of the seventh with a walk and Dan Butz singled before a sacrifice bunt by Ben Flicker moved the runners to second and third. After Dan Kristan was intentionally walked to load the bases, Lesher drew the free pass that ended it. Butz went 3-for-5 with two runs, Lesher 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Bryson Turner 2-for-3 with two runs and Kristan 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead Brandywine Heights, which advances to play at Camp Hill Thursday at 4:30. For Tulpehocken, Matt Kerber went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Tom Ulrich 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
