Highlights
At Pottsgrove, Gabby Ermish pitched a complete game two-hitter, striking out seven and allowing no walks in the Falcons (12-9) shutout over the Jems in the District 1 Class AAA first round. Ermish also went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored. Pottsgrove displayed a balanced offense scoring runs in four different innings. Shauna Maggio went 2-for-3 with a run and three RBI's, Sidney Schollenburger 2-for-4 two runs scored and an RBI, and Kira Livezy 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Villa Joseph Marie's Marissa Pugliese provided her team's only two hits, including a double. No. 7 Pottsgrove will play No. 2 Upper Merion on Friday in the quarterfinals at 4:00.
