Highlights
At Pittston, Wyoming Valley West's Tyler Yankosky struck out 12 in a three-hitter and also drove in a run to lead the District 2 champion Spartans (15-2) past the District 3 runner-up Mustangs (17-9). Ajay Sczepkowski singled to drive in a run for Gov. Mifflin. The Mustangs' starter, Noah Weber, struck out three, didn't walk a batter and gave up five hits. All of Wyoming Valley West's runs were unearned.
