At New Schaefferstown, Vance Gradwell's one-out, RBI double got the Trojans (1-2, 1-6) within a run in the bottom of the seventh inning, but Justin Renninger got the final two outs with runners on first and second to finish off a complete-game win for the Cougars (2-1, 4-2). Matt Angstadt went 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBIs and Nate Ebling 3-for-5 with four runs and three RBIs for Kutztown, which took control early with six runs in the third. For Tulpehocken, Gradwell went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs and Matt Herbert 3-for-3 with four RBIs.
