Highlights
High Point Baptist defeated Millersburg 1-0 to win the District 3-1A baseball championship Wednesday afternoon at Wenger Field in Fredericksburg. Chad Evans threw a three-hitter for the win and the Eagles scored in the fourth on a double by Zach Kauffman, a sacrifice by Stephen Mattia and a squeeze bunt by Evans. It is the first district title for High Point, which will open play in the PIAA Tournament on Monday.
