At Wilson West Middle School, Randy Carlo belted a grand slam to give the Bulldogs (11-7-1) the lead for good against the Black Knights (17-3). Wilson trailed 3-0 entering the third inning before scoring five runs on Brady Gibble's single and Carlo's blast. Jacob Lavigna struck out eight and allowed one in 4 2/3 innings of relief to pick up the win. Hempfield saw its seven-game winning streak end.
