Pequea Valley at Oley Valley

At War Memorial Field in Ephrata, the second-seeded Lynx (14-6) scored three runs in the second inning without the benefit of a hit and went on to beat the Braves (10-11) in a District 3-3A semifinal. Trailing 1-0, Jonas Hoch was hit by a pitch to start the bottom of the second and Garet Blankenbiller followed with a walk. A throwing error on Andy Loeper's bunt tied the game at one and put runners at second and third. Blankenbiller scored on Sam Saclise's fielder's choice and Loeper came home on a Lucas Myford sacrifice fly. Hoch scored from third in the fourth on an errant pickoff throw by the catcher. Loeper picked up the win, allowing four hits in four innings. Blankenbiller allowed just one hit over the final three innings to notch the save. Oley will play for the District title on Tuesday at a site and time to be determined. They will face the winner of today's Biglerville/Annville-Cleona game. With Thursday's win, the Lynx clinched their fourth consecutive trip the PIAA tournament.
