Highlights
At Mount Penn, Matt Heffner's three-run triple highlighted a six-run fourth that sealed it for the Spartans (7-5, 8-8), whose win over the Mounts (1-12, 1-14-1) pulled them into a second-place tie with Holy Name. The Spartans and Blue Jays play today at Wyomissing, and the winner will clinch the Berks playoff spot.
Heffner went 2-for-3, drove in four and scored twice. Also for Wyomissing, Kurt Schmehl went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run, and Chris Wenrich went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
