Highlights
At Mertztown, Mike Serence hit a tiebreaking, two-run homer in the sixth and pitched the final 1 1/3 innings as the Bullets (8-3, 11-4) beat the Panthers (6-4, 10-6) to take command in Division III of the Berks Conference.
The Panthers tied it 5-5 in the sixth as Matt Young capped a three-run rally with an RBI single.
Serence also had a double and three RBIs. Brandywine's Kyle Ziegler went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Ben Pritchard homered for the Bullets in the third, when they took a 5-2 lead.
Brandon Shurr had a two-run homer in the first, giving Schuylkill Valley a 2-0 lead.
