At Fleetwood, Jimmy McCarthy singled home Tyler Herz with the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth as the surprising Blazers (2-0, 4-0) remained unbeaten by knocking off the Tigers (0-2, 2-3). Boone had taken a 1-0 lead in the fourth on Matt McCarthy's RBI single, but the Tigers answered with two in their half on Joe Dantas' two-run double. Boone tied it in the sixth on Jimmy McCarthy's RBI infield single. Dan Karst and Jason Henderson combined on a six-hitter for Boone. Matt McCarthy was 3-for-3, Jimmy McCarthy was 2-for-3 and Toby Davis scored two runs. Jordan Garcia was 2-for-3 for Fleetwood, which got seven strikeouts in defeat from starter Tyler Storms.
